Hey all!
This week I'm finally feeling back up to snuff after my tonsillectomy a couple weeks back. Bleh, no fun. But during the last week (which I took off work for the first time in a while) I spent a lot of time thinking about the stuff I want to make.
Now that I'm back in the freelance game, making apps/websites for other people, it's really made me question...do I even want to do this? Don't get me wrong; I certainly want to keep building apps for myself. But when it comes to writing code for clients, it's just not the same level of fun as it used to be.
At the end of this newsletter I've included a video that really inspired me to know what I want to do and get crazy good at it (which takes time and intentionality). But first...
Here's some stuff that's inspiring me lately...

Sam Larson. Another fantastic artist. I follow very few people on Instagram and Sam is one of them. The detail and laid back vibe of his work is therapeutic. Defs check him out!

I guarantee you'll see Ugmonk show up in this newsletter at least once a month. This is one of the greatest brands I know. Family owned, carefully and ethically designed/sourced products.

So basically I want to buy everything GM makes and deck out my desk. But then I'd be poor. So I visit the site at least once a week and dream :)

This video was super inspiring to watch...
The Russo Brothers break down a scene in Avengers Infinity War. Even if you're not into films or the Avengers; just listen to a few minutes and hear how second-nature film is to them. The little details that are "so obvious" to them. We should all be doing art like this. Know your craft and master it.

That's it for this week!
Go forth and make cool stuff!
